First Team Meeting

Great team meeting!  Great enthusiasm and flow of ideas.  Here are some highlights that Christine and I took away from the meeting:

  1. Great idea by Jordan on the gallery door to courtyard, potentially moving it (or I think Tim mentioned we could add one) so bathroom easier to access for people outside/pool users.  But we think we likely will add a small cabana at a later date so we can likely leave the door as is.  But it will be good to plan for where the bathroom hookups should be for the future cabana.  Maybe we can "plumb" it at the time of initial construction.
  2. Bedroom #6 can get a larger french balcony (must be fair! ;) )
  3. Lets get pricing on asphalt vs stamped concrete for the circular drive/entry/driveways.
  4. Love the front elevation presented by Tim, the tower height is super cool as well as the arches leading into covered porch.   The different setbacks (like 3rd garage from 1st and 2nd) make it very appealing and give character.  Lets explore the "lick and stick" stone for the tower!  That would be really cool to do now if its not too much of an added cost.
  5. Any prior houses that you guys have done the "Limestone" trim and the "lick and stick stone" could you let us know the address so we can drive by and see how it looks would be great.
  6. Lance, we like the idea of Canadian pre-fab walls, lets present that idea to US Bank and see if we can do it.
  7. 12 foot ceilings for the family room seemed to have a good consensus.  A few exposed beams also preferred.

So plan moving forward, Jordan and Lance will digest the plans and get back to us on the budget and work on the cost breakdown sheet for US Bank so we can re-lock a rate and get the loan process (re-fi) going again.

Tim will work on remaining elevations and after we review them etc. we can run them by David at the town planning department and get his impression/feel and move forward from there.

I guess also, maybe once we get David's impression, Stephanie, we could probably go to the cabinet maker you had suggested (I think in discover bay?) and also we could get an updated quote from Distinctive Cabinetry.  Also looking forward to looking at granite and potentially quartz too!
