Schematic Design

Per our meeting today - Items listed below that we would like to change / add

  1. 7ft separation of stair to entry wall
  2. If needed lengthen the house north / south by 1 foot per #1 above
  3. Corner Pantry in Kitchen
  4. Flip Wine / Pantry and have counter / uppers on west side
  5. Keep the Dining Room / Guest Room exterior doors to Impluvium (outside)
  6. Bedroom 3 and Retreat to have separated windows on North Side (not a larger double window)
  7. Add corner window seat on north west corner of Bedroom 3

Coordination modifications to the plans based on how elevations have evolved:

  • Remove Gate and Pillars on north side of Impluvium
  • Center the windows on arches in the covered entry / loggia
  • Coordinate windows on east side of single car garage
  • Coordinate all window sizes to match newer elevations
  • Remove pillars and covered balcony section (broader overhangs now)

    • Still kept one interior window for the wine room.  I think you'll have plenty of storage + you have the Butler's Pantry to store wine as well.
    • There are actually 3 shower heads for the master shower (two in wall and one in ceiling)
    • The side garage door is a double door - it just looks like two singles in elevation - to help disguise the fact its a double wide door

    Regarding the side garage door, one double door will work better for us than two single doors.

    Just a couple of notes for clarification:

    Item 4, windows might not be necessary for the wine cellar to save some storage capacity.

    Are there two shower heads in the Master bath?
