The following is a summary of items discussed with Tim during our meeting last week:
1. The future elevator shaft will be framed in as closets at each floor level such that the floor framing can be removed later as desired.
2. I need a revised roof plan (dwg) and sections.
3. I need the site plan (dwg's) to show the perimeter retaining walls on the foundation plan.
4. We will need a wing wall between the kitchen and breakfast area to transfer shear from the second floor diaphragm to the foundation. I will let Tim know what's needed when I finish the lateral analysis.
5. Eliminate the small window at the office.
6. At the cabana, we will need shop-fabricated steel tube columns for lateral load restraint. The alternative is to exchange the round columns for Strong-walls at the corners.
7. I need to know where the furnaces and water heaters will be located in the garages to show foundation block-outs for ducting and to avoid locating shearwalls where ducts will penetrate walls.
8. The location of the doorway at the guest room needs to be resolved.
