Joe - I think the thickness is 1-1/4" but it can vary. I've added a link if you need more info:

Tim:
Can you tell what mortar thickness is required for the lower floor tile?
Thanks,

Confirming the lower level floor will be designed for thick-set mortar throughout. The upper level will be designed without any thick-set mortar.

Joe,
Spoke with Tim and he confirms that we have planned for the Main Level to be Thick-Set Mortar (throughout the main level).
And further there is no thick set on the Level 2 - it will be all thin set
Joe, this will be a question for Tim Haley... Does it cost more to get thick-set mortar.
What floor have you assumed in your floor framing system

I have already designed the floor framing system. Is any of the tile/granite material going to require thick-set mortar? If so, this will require a design change.
