So right now we kind of like the kids sharing a bathroom as it's a good cross learning experience and we notice they do a lot of laughing when they are getting ready for bed/school and brushing teeth etc....
1) So, what if we create a hybrid Jack and Jill design with a pocket door in the middle that can be closed off when someones going #2 or when they get older. Just an idea we are mulling over but would love you thoughts. See attached with 2 concepts (#1 keeps the same sizing and #2 has a smaller shower with a larger vanity.

I like option 2 and the showers are still plenty big. What I like about it is that it is also easy to fill in the wall later on if they do want complete privacy (but the pocket door should also work fine as you pointed out)
