I do think that it would be nice and would add value to change the style of the house to Mediterranean style however it is an increased cost of which if we're at the top of the budget or over budget already we may want to reconsider. To make it stand out we would have to change the roofing to a barrel tile roof either concrete or clay in addition to making archways and if we want a Tuscan flare to it then we would add Stone and some areas but that could be fake stone.

It seems a greater value for your needs and for the value of the house is to get the square footage additions accomplished first including the kitchen. This I think would be a higher priority than the change of style but let us know what you think.
