Transforming Tables Catalogue

Resource furniture seems to be one of the better sources for clever, stylish Italian designs.

They have a showroom in SF at the Design Center on Kansas Street and offer a 10% trade discount and some unstated additional discount depending upon volume.

This is a catalog link for their transforming tables. A few of them convert a coffee table to a dining table for six, which would mean that we would not necessarily need to extend the kitchen island to provide dining for six using their Goliath product; For casual meals or breakfast, it could have a simple water-fall fold-out table for (4) and hold (6) folding chairs for the dining table when in use. This would allow moving the couch toward the kitchen and then the coffee table, possibly using their Soleil or Celcius models, would become a dining table for six that could stay located between the couch and the glass view wall.

This is their link for transforming wall bed systems:

If we got a transformable combination sofa/wall bed in one bedroom and a transformable wall bed/office desk in the other bedroom, we could broaden the Villa Colibri's functionality.

  • I like the Resource Solution for the Kitchen / Great room (where we would benefit from a 12ft ceiling - not fur it down like for Bumblebee Spaces )   It would be great for the kitchen island since you can set the height of the working surface (either low for dining or higher for food prep).   We can also have rolling storage carts (which I use quiet a bit in regular kitchens - think of butcher block carts from William Sonoma).

You could also use collapsible desks in the bedrooms however
