    To all, DPAE will have closed doors for the next three weeks, thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic and the Contra Costa County Health Dept.  I still plan to work on this and other office projects from home during this period.  So, hope for little interruptions from this office!

    Hi Tim. On the subject of curbless showers: Today I had a discussion with Mike, and later with Dave. Let's plan on curbless showers in both master bathrooms. The other two bathrooms can have curbs.
    Dave wants to have a deeper conversation about elevations with you later, but I just want to give you my simple input on the subject of step-ups. Part of my discussion with Mike, as per our discussion yesterday, was the possibility of no step-ups into the mudroom from the garage, and front door. I also mentioned, if possible, no step-ups leading from the patio into the living area, which Mike seemed to think would work because the patio is covered, however, Mike said he will be investigating that further because it might affect the ventilation under the house; something like that. I did briefly mention to Mike your geo cooling idea. I know this will all get sorted out.
